I'll describe the process below, but first:
Choose the option that best fits your desires! I offer blank-inside, 5x7 greeting cards that can be displayed, framed, or mailed, and 8x10 art prints on heavy, 100% cotton rag paper. These are signed and the date of the pattern penciled in at the bottom.
Important to note, especially if you purchase both sizes: the cotton rag paper has a more saturated, deep coloring than the greeting cards and slight color variations will be seen between the two papers.
Process! Let me explain...
I collected vintage patterns, not beautifully kept, precious patterns- but patterns that were loved, used, marked up, edges frayed from their life in a sewer's possession. I love the scars of this history.First I flatten the patterns as much as possible, then- using acrylic paints- I start to "erase" the background- sometimes the colors are the strange, aged color of the pattern background, sometimes parts of the clothing. This allows me to paint the bones over the figure, following where the limbs once were. With pen and pencil, I go into the details, shading and defining the bones and skull.
These reproductions were closely matched to the originals, weird colors and all.

FYI: if you happen to be someone who has purchased an 8x10 print before, with a price I previously sold it for, please contact me. I had to price them according to what they sold for in a retail shop and couldn't lower my online price. I'm finally free to price them as a direct sale from me!
