Big Bend National Park is great for so many reasons, but one that I value so much is that it's a part accessible to all types. You can be rugged and survivalist and hike for days out in the desert, alone, or you can drive through in your air-conditioned car and still enjoy the park. I fall somewhere in between- I like to primitive roadside camp where I can pitch a tent and not see or hear another human being, but have the luxury of a cooler full of yummy food to cook on my camp stove. This image was taken along the Scenic Drive Road, aptly named. Big Bend has a lot of wow-factor.
Camera used: Holga Film: Tmax 400 – 120 roll film I develop and print all my work in a traditional darkroom first, then scan the final prints and make digital reproductions. The black edge is actually the edges of the film. I print full frame using a negative holder I created in order to show remnants of the medium of film. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making the images.
